Part 1: My Crazy Summer

It's absolutely crazy how much I have done this summer and yet it feels like I have done nothing! I have been traveling, chilling, working, meeting friends and doing other fun stuff! This summer has gone by way too fast and next week I am already leaving for Sweden... It's been an amazing summer and hopefully it's gonna be an even more amazing school year to come in Jönköping, Sweden!

As I have had no time to share with you my adventures during this summer, I am gonna post them here is quite many parts! :D Hopefully you will have the patient to look at all the pics and read all my stories!

Granola Bars

Me and my sister tried making some own granola bars the other day, and they turned out deliciously! We just mixed all kinds of seeds and nuts, some coconut, pitted dates, and oats. We added syrup, honey and some salt and mixed it into a dough.

When it's like a dough we just put in on an oven plate and put it in the oven on 150*c for like 15-20 minutes. After we took it from the oven we left it get a bit colder before we cut it in bars. Super easy and super delicious!

Sunday Brunch

On Sunday me and my sister met up with my friend M at Raawka in Vaasa. This is a very popular place in Vaasa that serves raw food and cakes. The place is rather tiny, but super cosy, so it is always full with people, but this time we booked a table to be able to go for brunch! And I must say it was delicious! We got a glas of champagne or kombucha and a plate full of delicious things! There was bananabread, a smoothie bowl, frittata, hummus, salad, and a sandwich with cold smoked salmon on!

The smoothie bowl I am definitely gonna try at home!

Last day of March

On Thursday I went to town to visit my sister. We went for a lovely dinner at Magokoro in Vaasa, which is the best sushi place i have ever been to. It is delicious and not too expensive.
After the dinner we went to an event at Marimekko. There we got some sparkling wine and snacks. We listened to the woman running the store about upcoming trends at Marimekko.

If you ever try the sushi at Magokoro these are Firecracker, California, Sunrise & Summer kiss. All super delicious!

Undreground & Markets

The last post from London! It was so fun going with the underground and the stops looked all different! It was very handy with an oyster card in London, as you could travel with both underground and busses with it. During our stay in London we also visited a few markets. I especially loved the Camden market, and camden over all, with all the cool stores!

We also decided to go visit the Brittish Museum, becuase it was really close to our hostel in London. We saw all kinds of stuff, the mummies were pretty cool! And as huge of a fan I am of doctor who I found a 10 "satsumas" bill at the museum, which were used when the santa clauses attack London in one episode! The lst picture is from the theatre, were we watched the popular show Wicked. They were amazing singers and actors! Could stop singing after we had been at there!

Cirkus

Last week I went to a Cirkus party and my lovely sister made this beautiful make up for me. I'm supposed to be a clown or a harlequin and I used her Harley Quinn top so I guess I was more Harley Quinn than a clown. But tumbs up for my sister who always do my make up when I want something special!!

Hallowe'en

Saturday me and my sister spent at Olliver's Inn on their halloween party. My sister as Harley Quin and me as a cute/slit throat bunny! The party didn't last long for us though as I came back from London (more posts about that later) the same day and had like slept for 3 hours the night before so I was super tired.. But we had a fun time anyways! (: (everything's taken with phone, therefore the really bad quality....)

The Baltics - Riga

Second city on our trip was Riga! The cities are just getting bigger and cheaper! The town was very beautiful with a lot of cute housesand small allies. In the evening we even got to listen to a little old music played at a restaurant called Ala, I truely recommend if visiting Riga! In the last pic you also see how cheap drinks was in Riga, a beer for 3,5€, and in Finland you have to pay at least 6€...

7 Months

It is almost over 7 months that I haven't seen my classmate S, since she went to Austrailia for an internship and I went to Indonesia just before she returned home. So now that I have been home for almost 2 months we met at Raawka in Vaasa. Its a really small, and super cute place, which serves raw food. The day's salad was a huge plate with quinoa, and different vegetables. It was really good, better than expected! Though it took a while to eat the whole plate as we were talking so much and catching up on almost everything that had happened in 7 months.
Now its also time to work really hard on my thesis if I want to graduate in December. I got an email from my teacher saying that the first draft of the thesis has to be done by 7th of November if we want ot graduate this year... So I better get to it! I still have some theory to write and then to interview some people.

Best Buy

When I was in Indonesia, the girl I traveled with to Yogyakarta had one of those Kindle eReaders you can buy at Amazon.com. So when I got home I decided that I wanted one too, the only problem was that Amazon didn't ship to Finland or it was suuuper expensive.. So I found this one! Kobo Glo HD and it's amazing! So easy to use and it has its own light built in so you can read in the dark aswell! Kobo also has its own app where you can buy and download books in seconds and put them in your library in your Kobo eReader!
Now I don't have to bring heavy books with me in my luggage that just takes space.. I can now have thousands of books with me in my small Kobo! So if you travel a lot this is an awesome investment!

Fall/Winter Outfit

// Jeans, Stradivarius // Coat, H&M // Scarf, Louis Vuitton // Hat // Bag, Charles & Keith //

A little fall/winter outfit that I had on when I went to Wasa Teater last weekend. The hat is from Indonesia, therefore I can't remeber the brand of the hat, but you could find it anywhere there. Really basic outfit but it's great when you mix and match colours and accessories. The bag is my new baby, I love it and I bring it everywhere! Here you can also see my new purple haircut that my sister made for me!

Dip Dye

After 8 years of my own hair colour I decided to dye my hair just a little bit! So now I have a purple (or aubergine) coloured dip dye!

My sister was kind enough to dye it for me and the first pic is from when we tried it out the first time. After that she has cut my hair, cuz it was way toooooo long and dyed the purple further up on my hair. The colour blend in quite good with my natural brown colour so it doesn't look so drastical.

The second pic is from when we have dyed it further up. In the pic it's quite purple, but in real life it is a bit darker. So when ever I make a bun now its purple!

Yogyakarta Day 2

Day 2 we woke up at 3.30am as the car was going at 4am from the Hostel to the temples outside Yogya. We decided to see the temples from the mountain beside the Borobudur temple. The car drive was the bumpiest ride I have ever been on, then there was a little hike to the top of the hill. From the hill we saw the sun rise at almost exactly 6.03.
After the sunrise we took the car down to the temples; for some breakfast. A dry bread with some jam on, some weird fruits and a cup of tea. After this we went to see the mighty temple Borobudur, a buddhist temple that no one knows how it got there. It took a couple of hours and when we were done we went on to the next temple. The ride to that temple was even worse...
The next temple was called Prambanan, and was a Hindu temple. Almost as mighty as Borobudur. We were quite exhausted at this time from all the walking so it got a little boring..
When we got back to the hostel we slept for a bit before we went to the market place again to buy some souvenirs and eat some Indonesian food.

Look I'm a Buddha!

If you could touch the Buddha inside it would bring you luck!

Home

Sorry for no updates lately I have been a bit busy.. I got home to Finland 2 weeks ago and have been working since.. Was a whole lot of traveling to come home, over 18 hours of flight..

Now i will also try to focus more on my thesis so i can graduate from school and maybe start working somewhere! (:

I still have some pics from Indonesia that I need to show you!

Healthy Food?

It's been a while since I posted some food pics now. Well, here it is. It is quite hard to find western food in Indonesia so I made some own food for ones. I was gonna make Chicken Tortillas, but the tortilla bread is 5 times more expensive here than at home so I used salad instead, and it worked very well. Very delicious! (:

I also made a bet with a friend to see how long we could go without candy and other sweet things, so for now fruits are awesome snack!

Yoogaia.com

I got to be a part of Buzzador's campaign of Yoogaia.com and I am allowed to try it for free for 1 month. If you don't know Buzzador from before please go check it out! You get to be apart of free campaigns and in return you grade the products or services that you try.
I tried Yoogaia on Monday and it's amazing! What could be better than get yoga and pilates classes in your own livingroom?! At least then you don't have to feel awkward for breathing loudly or sweating like a pig or other embarrassing moments that might occur at the gym :D
So for people who want to have it comfortable with a service delivered at home it's perfect! I will definitely consider paying for it after the month is up!

Oh and I have been sewing something, that is way there are scissors and thread in the background, hehe...
