Undreground & Markets

The last post from London! It was so fun going with the underground and the stops looked all different! It was very handy with an oyster card in London, as you could travel with both underground and busses with it. During our stay in London we also visited a few markets. I especially loved the Camden market, and camden over all, with all the cool stores!

We also decided to go visit the Brittish Museum, becuase it was really close to our hostel in London. We saw all kinds of stuff, the mummies were pretty cool! And as huge of a fan I am of doctor who I found a 10 "satsumas" bill at the museum, which were used when the santa clauses attack London in one episode! The lst picture is from the theatre, were we watched the popular show Wicked. They were amazing singers and actors! Could stop singing after we had been at there!

Filicia XXII

Eventful and extremely funny weekend behind us! On Friday evening I joined friends at Novia's student union Filicia's Birthday celebration at Restaurant Central in Vaasa. Everyone was looking fabulous with their long dresses and hairdo's. I borrowed my sisters black dress and had her to do my hair and makeup as always!

As strarter we had salmon in three different ways and white wine. Main course was a delicious beef fillet with chanterelle sauce and vegetables, combined with red wine. For dessert we got a cheesecake with lingonberry sauce and ice cream. I was more than happy with the food! We had a good time singing and listening to two good speakers during the evening. For coffee we all looked like Lady Gagas too!

We continued the celebration on Saturday with a brunch at the student unions facilities at the school in Vaasa.

When ready, take the lid off and pull the meat apart

Stir around a litte so it mixes with the juice left that is left in the pot

Madame Tussauds

Whilst in London we also visited Madame Tussauds, as one must! And at the time we were there they had a new exhibition with Star Wars, so of course we had to go fight the dark power! I even got to meet the master who taught me a few tricks..

Of course my lovely Mr Bond was also there, all six of them! We also said HI to the Royal family, Stephen Hawkings and many more! And my two favorite guys, Captain America & Ironman, were there so I could hug them!

London

I thought it was about time to share some pics from my trip to London that I made in October! My friend from France and I met in London for a weeks vacation and as it was our first trip ever there we wanted to see as much as possible. The first pic is from the hostel we were staying at, Smart Hostel at Russels Square. The rooms were quite small with beds on top of eachother, the whole thing moved if someone turned over in there sleep, but thank god I am not a light sleeper so I was good!

The rest of the pics are from are trip on the bus and on the river cruise boat! It was quite cold sitting in a bus with no roof.. but we got around almost the whole of London and we were happy! We saw Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Queens castle, the London eye and sooo much more from there! And we could hop on and off to take pics at all the places too! The river cruise was also nice as we made it when the sun was setting and got a really beautiful view of the river and the Tower Bridge! All the old buildings were so beautiful and the last picture is a replica of Shakespeares theatre.

Bad Behaviour

This blog is not getting much of my attention these days.. I have a lot on my plate right now... I have my thesis I am trying hard to finish so I can graduate and move on with my life.. Then I have also work which comes in the way of this writing once in a while.. and of course a lot of other stuff.. Plus I do want to have a life also and not just sit in front of my computer or be at work..

If I could finish my thesis now in February I would be so happy! Then I could relax and enter the next era in this life, which is either work somewhere or continue studying! I have already applied to a couple of schools in Finland and one in Sweden. If I succeed to not get a place somewhere I will start to look for work somewhere. Hopefully I would find something that is NOT in Finland. I like exploring new places, so this is first on my list! Plus then I don't really have to use Finnish, which I'm not that strong in..
