Part 4: Trieste

After my stay in Stockholm for almost a week I continued my journey to Italy. I arrived in Venice and took the train to a coastal city calle Trieste. I came here to visit my friend I who was working here during the summer.
While she was working I went for a little sightseeing around town. I saw something that was probably an old amphitheatre, visited a cathedral and saw the beautiful view over Trieste from there. I tried some Italian gnocchi with bolognese, which was so much different than the gnocchi in Finland. In the evening we had some apperitivos, which means almost pre-food drinks. And of course we had a super delicious pizza.

Part 3: Stockholm

Except for the Festival I visited in Sweden I also went for a little "sightseeing", shopping and met a friend from Gothenburg during my stay. Stockholm was really beatiful during my stay and it was very warm outside to be in the beginning of June. During my stay in Stockholm I was living in my aints apartment in Fruängen, about 20min away from the centre by the underground.

Part 2: Summerburst Stockholm

My first ever festival I went to was this summer in Stockholm, to Summerburst! I thought why not go big and go to Stockholm for my first festival... and I loved it! We all did! The people in Sweden are so lovely and friendly and the atmosphere at the festival was amazing. It was a two day festival with a lot of different DJs, some from Sweden and some from other parts of the world.

David Guetta was even playing "sexy bitch" and we were reminded of some nice secondary school memories. Steve Angello from Sweden played som very nice tunes accompanied with a lot of fireworks closer to midnight. Kygo from Norway were playing "firestone" and we were relaxing with a cider. It was amazing! The most amazing moment for me was when i was jumping in the middle of the crowd to W&W's song "Spack Jarrow". Can't get better than W&W! And not to forget all the other great djs and musicians that were there! Armin van Buuren, Alesso, Icona Pop, Mike Perry, Alan Walker, and many mooooore!

Umeå & Summertime

Last weekend me, my sister and my mom went to Umeå with boat. We went on friday morning from Vaasa harbor to go shopping at the new Ikea and shopping center right outside Umeå. We spent almost the whole day there. In the evening we also went to eat at Max burgers, the best burgers in Sweden, and it was delicious!

Saturday morning my sister had to go for an exam in Umeå, högskoleprovet. In order to get easier into school in sweden. This test took the whole day so me and my mom was shopping in the centre of Umeå meanwhile.

Hotel breakfast in Umeå

Also summer is soon here with the sun now setting at about 8 or 9pm

Undreground & Markets

The last post from London! It was so fun going with the underground and the stops looked all different! It was very handy with an oyster card in London, as you could travel with both underground and busses with it. During our stay in London we also visited a few markets. I especially loved the Camden market, and camden over all, with all the cool stores!

We also decided to go visit the Brittish Museum, becuase it was really close to our hostel in London. We saw all kinds of stuff, the mummies were pretty cool! And as huge of a fan I am of doctor who I found a 10 "satsumas" bill at the museum, which were used when the santa clauses attack London in one episode! The lst picture is from the theatre, were we watched the popular show Wicked. They were amazing singers and actors! Could stop singing after we had been at there!

Madame Tussauds

Whilst in London we also visited Madame Tussauds, as one must! And at the time we were there they had a new exhibition with Star Wars, so of course we had to go fight the dark power! I even got to meet the master who taught me a few tricks..

Of course my lovely Mr Bond was also there, all six of them! We also said HI to the Royal family, Stephen Hawkings and many more! And my two favorite guys, Captain America & Ironman, were there so I could hug them!

London

I thought it was about time to share some pics from my trip to London that I made in October! My friend from France and I met in London for a weeks vacation and as it was our first trip ever there we wanted to see as much as possible. The first pic is from the hostel we were staying at, Smart Hostel at Russels Square. The rooms were quite small with beds on top of eachother, the whole thing moved if someone turned over in there sleep, but thank god I am not a light sleeper so I was good!

The rest of the pics are from are trip on the bus and on the river cruise boat! It was quite cold sitting in a bus with no roof.. but we got around almost the whole of London and we were happy! We saw Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Queens castle, the London eye and sooo much more from there! And we could hop on and off to take pics at all the places too! The river cruise was also nice as we made it when the sun was setting and got a really beautiful view of the river and the Tower Bridge! All the old buildings were so beautiful and the last picture is a replica of Shakespeares theatre.

Lapland Trip #2

This trip as the last one was amazingly fun, with great people from all over the world. All the way from North America to Japan! Both of the trips are exactly the same. First day we leave with the bus and stop at the Santa Claus Village on our way to our destination.
The second day consists of Snowmobile riding and Husky sled rides. Both are very fun and something you don't want to miss. After the Husky rides we also visited the Snow Village, were you can book a room and sleep in the ice hotel. It was pretty cool!
The third day is all about skiing and having fun! Me myself went snowboarding with some of the guys and I have never been more happy with doing snowboarding. The snow had been falling during the night so it was about 20-30cm of fresh snow. We were almost the first group their so the slopes were almost untouched, it couldn't have been better! Though there were only about 4 slopes open, but we went on some slopes that were closed too. Breaking the rules! After the whole day at the skiresort the sauna felt even better in the evening! And if you haven't tried jumping in the snow or going ice swimming during the sauna you have to try it! It is an amazing feeling and you feel even fresher after the sauna!

Lapland

Now we are on our way on the second Lapland trip this season. Last week was our first and we had some amazing people with us on the trip. Everyone on the trips are exchange students studying somewhere in Finland. Me and the busdriver is the only Finnish people on the trips. We are having one next week also, but I'm not joining that one. If you are interested in going to Lapland in January you can check out Student Trips on Facebook!

M&M World London

On our trip to London we had of course to go visit the M&M shop too! Which was 3 floors big and had a lot of different toys and M&M candy in it! The best part in the store was when you got to mix and match your own M&M's in a bag, I got a little bit too excited there ^^ (you can see my beautiful colour match down below!)

Harry Potter sights in London

I'm a small Harry Potter fan so of course when me and my friend were in London we had to go visit some places where the movies were shot! We went to King's Cross to take the train at Platform 9 3/4, we went to the Diagon Alley (both at day and night) and of course we walked the Millenium bridge over the Thames! At King's Cross we also visited the Harry Potter shop to shop for our wands ;) (though they were so expensive that we didn't buy any) The Diagon Alley was shot at the Leadenhall Market, which you can find quite close to the Tower Bridge.

The Baltics - Vilnius

The last city on our trip was Vilnius. Which was consisted, to be honest, of only churches everywhere! But truly beautiful this city too, and the cheapest! A meal at a restaurant was 8€ and a beer at the bar was 2€. We also visited the castle of Trakkai and got to shoot with bow and arrow, and I gotta say that I was awesome at it! I should do it professionally! When we later visited the shooting range with real guns I wasn't so good anymore, and it was quite scary shooting with real guns.. We got to try a pistol, revolver, AK47 and a shotgun! Felt like a terminator with the shotgun ^^

The Baltics - Riga

Second city on our trip was Riga! The cities are just getting bigger and cheaper! The town was very beautiful with a lot of cute housesand small allies. In the evening we even got to listen to a little old music played at a restaurant called Ala, I truely recommend if visiting Riga! In the last pic you also see how cheap drinks was in Riga, a beer for 3,5€, and in Finland you have to pay at least 6€...
